  Newsletter News from FIHB-Horseball.Org FIHB Selected as Member of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Equine Village FIHB, International Federation of Horse-Ball is pleased to announce participation in the Equine Village of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, which will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington September 25-October 10, 2010. The Equine Village will be a world-class spectator attraction, offering equine entertainment, educational activities and lectures from equine industries. This feature exhibit area will be a major part of the atmosphere and attractions offered to Games visitors in addition to the world championship competitions in eight equestrian sports. “We have created the Equine Village to serve as an educational experience for the Games’ spectators about different breeds, disciplines, and all that the equine industry encompasses,” said Jamie Link, CEO of the World Games 2010 Foundation. As a member of the 2010 Games Equine Village, FIHB will showcase a friendly tournament with 3 or 4 teams on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park to hundreds of thousands of spectators during the 16 days of competition. Activities provided by FIHB will include Horse-Ball demonstration with the participation of more than 10/15 players from Europe, Asia and America. “We are glade to participate to the Equine Village, a great initiative to provide visibility to discipline like Horse-Ball that are spreading around the world” said Eric Bassot, FIHB President, “it is also the opportunity to launch this sport in the USA, where we are convinced the potential is really important.”. Both general admission and competition ticket holders will have access to the activities in the Equine Village, as well as other attractions including the Trade Show, Kentucky Experience, Alltech International Pavilion, and sponsor showrooms. With approximately 600,000 tickets to be sold, spectators will come from around the world to witness the highest achievements in equestrian sport.

One more European Championship won by Spanish Horse-Ball. Valcurone - Italy 0 15 Arles - France Caramel - Belgium 7 10 Cardedeu - Spain   Final standings: Place Team 1st Cardedeu - Spain 2nd Caramel - Belgium 3rd Arles - France 4th Valcurone - Italy 2009 FIHB Champions league semi-finals   The 2009 edition of FIHB Champions LeagueTM began today in this wonderful Eurexpo Internation Expo Park of Lyon (FRA). The semi-finals matches are always very difficult because if they do not yet determine the winners, they can often guess which of our four teams do not go up on the podium. The first match has opposed the semi finalist of last 2008 edition team Caramel (BEL) to the team from Valcurone (ITA). The final score was 11 to 8 in favor of the Belgium team of Caramel. The second match of the day has opposed team Arles (FRA) to the team Cardedeu (SPA). The match ended on the score of 7 to 6 for Spanish team. Tomorrow the final for 3rd place will oppose teams Valcurone (SPA) and Arles (FRA). Caramel (BEL) will have the heavy task to play against the Nation who was the  semi finalist of the last FIHB European ChampionshipsTM in Oviedo.
